ONE PHASE OF MFLD PROJECT ALMOST COMPLETE

It appears the South Central Avenue reconstruction project in Marshfield is that rare example of a big construction project that gets done ahead of schedule.
Construction officials say they expect Marshfield’s mainstreet from Veterans Parkway to Sixth Street to reopen to traffic at 6 p.m. Friday.
The rest of the project, from 6th Street to Wildwood Park, is slated for completion in the fall.
Workers had been plugging away at the downtown street until 8 or 9 everynight, and will easily beat their goal of having it open by July 24.
