NEILLSVILLE GIRLS LOSE IN DIVISION 3 FINAL

The Neillsville Girls Basketball team lost in the Championship game in Division 3 of the 2009 Girls High School Elite Invitational Tournament in Wausau yesterday. The final was Ooostburg 58 Neillsville 50. The Warriors beat Shoreland Lutheran 32-22 in the semi-final Sunday morning, a team they had lost to by 15 in their first game on Friday. Oostburg beat Osseo-Fairchild in the other semi-final 59-49. Osseo-Fairchild beat Shoreland Lutheran in the 3rd place game 40-39. In Division 4 Goodhue was the champion beating Barneveld 57-43. Owen-Withee and Marshfield Columbus both lost their consolation games on Sunday.
