GRAND AVE. RUN/WALK/BIKE IS BACK

Among the dozens of events planned for Heritage Days this weekend is Saturday’s Memorial Medical Center Grand Avenue Run/Walk and Bike Tour.
"This is about our sixth year we've been doing this," says Tom Silbernagel, who organizes the event.
Registration for the Bike Tour starts at 3 p.m., with the tour set to begin at 4 p.m.
The kids dash start at 5:30 p.m., and the 1 mile, 5 K and 10 K run/walk begins at 6 p.m.
"We already have a record number of pre-entries. We have over 100 pre-entries. It's just a great event," Silbernagel says.
It’s all about encouraging a healthy lifestyle.
"It's something other than playing pool, or playing cards."
If you haven’t registered, no problem… you can sign up at the starting line, located just north of the big tent downtown.
