FATAL ACCIDENT NEAR LOYAL

The Clark County Sheriff’s Department, with assistance from the Wisconsin State Patrol, is investigating a traffic crash that claimed the life of one person.
On Tuesday, July 7, 2009, the Clark County Sheriff’s Department received a 9-1-1 call shortly after 11:00 pm reporting a two vehicle crash. The location was at the intersection Robin Avenue and Rock Creek Road, in the Township of Beaver, just northeast of Loyal. Initial investigation indicates a heavy truck, southbound on Robin Avenue, struck an eastbound vehicle at the intersection. The driver of the eastbound vehicle was killed instantly. The driver of the truck was not injured.
The Loyal Fire and Ambulance responded to the scene. This is the second fatality of 2009. The names are being withheld pending notification of family.
