Eau Claire native wins Women's State Open

Malinda Johnson, formerly of Eau Claire, won the 2009 Wisconsin Women's State Open at Whispering Springs golf course. It was the second straight Open title for Johnson and her third overall. She attended Eau Claire North high school and the University of Wisconsin and now plays on the developmental Duramed Futures Tour.
