VOTERS SHOOT DOWN REFERENDUM

Voters in Black River Falls said ‘no’ to a $25.2 million referendum yesterday.
The final tally was 845 in favor; 1,094 opposed. That’s roughly 44% in favor; 56% opposed.
The district wanted the funds to build an elementary school and make improvements to its early learning center.
