SIDIE TRIAL TO STAY IN JACKSON CO.

A high-profile murder trial will be decided in the county it is charged.
Doug Sidie is accused of murdering his ex-wife, Alisha Sidie, outside his Hatfield home. Investigators say he hid the body and let friends and relatives search for a week before finally leading authorities to the wooded area where the body was hid.
Thursday, Sidie's attorney told a judge he will not request a change of venue.
Sidie allegedly confessed to authorities, but his attorney says that doesn’t make Sidie guilty of 1st degree intentional homicide; instead, he says, a lesser charge is more appropriate.
