UNEMPLOYMENT NUMBERS IMPROVE

The jobless rate improved in Clark County in April.
The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development released their local unemployment rates Wednesday.
Clark County’s rate dipped from 11.3% in March to 9.7% in April. The county’s rank also improved from 25th to 28th among the state’s 72 counties.
The rate is still four points higher than it was in April of last year.
Rusk County has the highest rate: 14.6%; Dane County has the lowest rate: 5.6%.
