RECOUNTS DON'T CHANGE RESULTS

A couple of recounts at the Clark County Courthouse Monday didn't change the results.

After last week’s election, only one vote separated Robert Schmidt and Bish Kolano for Supervisor in the Town of Pine Valley. Schmidt defeated Kolano 165 to 164. The recount confirmed that result.

They also recounted the chairman’s race in Pine Valley, and Walter Wetzel still defeated Wayne Opelt.

Recounts were also requested in the Town of Washburn where Tony Suda defeated a write-in candidacy from Robert Sebesta 63 to 52. That result was unchanged after the recount.

Washburn officials also confirmed write-in candidate Corliss Fields was the winner with 39 votes, defeating Bonnie Sunstrom, Danielle Boushon and Elizabeth Kuhn.
