MAYER PLEADS NOT GUILTY

A 28-year-old Marshfield man accused of killing his live-in girlfriend last month says he’s not guilty of felony murder.
Eric Mayer, 28, entered the plea Monday morning.
Authorities say he struck 43-year-old Cynthia Tyler at her Stratford home during an argument. She died from a ruptured artery in her brain caused by the blow.
Mayer is free after family posted an $80,000 cash bond.
Mayer’s next court appearance is scheduled for July 16.
