Rep. Dave Obey isn’t doing much to diminish his reputation as one of the great “pork” securers in the Congress.

His wish list for 2010 includes 89 projects for his district and across the state totaling more than $333 million.

Among the requests:

**$11.9 million for the city of Abbotsford to build a new water tower and water treatment plant; $3.3 million to support a research project at Marshfield's University of Wisconsin-Agriculture Research Station to create energy from farm and dairy processing waste and reduce greenhouse gases;

**Obey also is asking for $10-million to expand Highway 10 to four lanes between Marshfield and Stevens Point.

His website notes only a small percentage of the projects will be approved.
