MILK PRICES LOOKING UP

The U.S. Department of Agriculture says milk prices in Wisconsin may be on their way up.

The USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service says Wisconsin's average milk price in March is expected to be about $12.30 per hundredweight.

That would be 80-cents more than February's average of $11.50 per hundredweight, but much lower than the price in March 2008, when farmers got $19.50.

Nationally, milk prices continue to drop. The expected U.S. milk price for March is $11.50 per hundredweight, 10-cents less than the February average.
