Marathon County Board members voted 29-7 to contribute $1-million for the new Dairyland State Academy, a hands-on learning center.
North Central Technical College partnered with DSA to start the state's only two-year dairy-science learning lab.
Details must still be ironed out, but leaders hope to have the facility ready for students sometime next school year.
