MARSHFIELD'S MAIN DRAG UNDER CONSTRUCTION

It might be a bit more difficult to get around in downtown Marshfield for a while, as a major reconstruction project gets underway.
Central Avenue will be closed to all pedestrian and vehicle traffic from Veterans Parkway to Sixth Street until reconstruction is completed July 24.
At least two lanes will be open to traffic throughout the project between Sixth Street and Wildwood Park. Reconstruction for this section will be finished by Nov. 1.
Crews will redo everything from the sidewalks to the streets. Trees will be planted and new flowerpots, benches and light poles will be installed.
