WISCONSIN NUNS SCAMMED

Nuns in Pewaukee are out more than $800,000 after falling victim to a scam.

Federal agents believe 35-year-old Angela Martin-Mulu and 39-year-old Edward Bosire posed as homeless Kenyan refugees to swindle the nuns at the Discalced Carmelite Monastery.

The nuns say the couple told them they feared for their lives and needed help to pay for rent, utilities, food, medical expenses and even college tuition.

Investigators say another monastery in Illinois also fell victim to the same trick.
