When Todd Olson, 36, joined the National Guad 17-years ago, he needed to raise money for college. When he left to train for deployment in June, he was a Vice President and loan officer at M & I Bank in Neillsville.

WCCN/WPKG News interviewed Olson back in May after he learned his unit would be called to active duty. He told us he had mixed emotions.

"On one hand - knowing you've been training for this for a number of years and wanting to do a duty for your country. Yet, at the same time, a number of thoughts on how you're going to take care of your family."

"A lot of emotions running there all at once," Todd told us.

Todd was deployed to Iraq just before Thanksgiving
