ATC SURVEY: WISCONSINITES SUPPORT LINE

A new survey released today shows 57-percent of all Wisconsin residents support construction of the Arrowhead-Weston transmission line; but critics of the line will certainly point out the survey was sponsored by American Transmission Company, who plans to build the line.
ATC enlisted Wood Communications Group to survey 500 random state residents between March 20th and March 23rd.
The survey also indicated 73-percent of state residents prefer transmission lines be built on public land, rather than private land.
Construction on the line in Minnesota is complete. Construction in Clark and Marathon counties is scheduled to begin this summer with theline scheduled to be complete in 2008.
