Tuesday, December 30th, 2008 -- 3:29 pm Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director
Jackson County sheriff's deputies spent more than 400 hours of overtime in their search for a missing woman who was later found dead.
The sheriff's department has released its financial report on the Sidie case.
Douglas Sidie is accused of killing his ex-wife, Alisha, hiding her body in the woods and keeping quiet for a week while deputies spent 454 overtime hours searching for the mother of young twins. The county says the overtime cost the county about $20,000.
Sidie has been ordered to stand trial on charges that include first-degree intentional homicide, concealing a corpse and obstruction of officers. A not guilty plea was entered for him.
