A girl is lucky to be alive after a hunter’s stray bullet shot through her mother’s back window.

It happened at around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday morning in the Marathon County Town of McMillan, just outside of Marshfield.

The bullet nearly struck a 10-year-old girl, who was walking past the vehicle on her way to a bus stop.

Authorities are trying to determine where the shot came from.

The woman wants to find the hunter to receive an apology and payment for her shot-out back window.
