NEILLSVILLE APPROVES '09 BUDGET
Thursday, November 13th, 2008 -- 10:18 am Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director
Neillsville’s City Council approved their budget Wednesday night.
The plan will spend $3.1-million, 1.5% more than the current year. The increase is almost entirely the result of fuel and utility expenses, officials say.
City property taxpayers will cover $1-million. The levy, minus Tax Increment District payments, was increased 2%, the maximum allowed under state-imposed levy limits.
The tax rate will increase 14-cents to $10.44 per thousand dollars of property.
They took no action on gun-hunting issues.
