The FFA hosted the Sectional Leadership Workshop. 260 students and advisors from Clark, Wood, Marathon and Portage counties were all in attendance at the school. Granton was selected to host this event because 2018 Granton High School graduate Jill Tyler is currently serving as a state officer. The FFA would like to thank Granton School for its support of this event. They would also like to thank all of the alumni, family and friends who aided in the successful running of this event. She also provided an update on the district’s Crisis Team.

Team members will be attending multiple conferences for safety training as part of the Safety Grant. They are in the process of updating all policies and have been working very hard to update safety plans throughout the district. Finally, in regards to academics, she stated the district’s concentration as a staff with regard to academics is creating a rounded approach to academic betterment through continuous communication. Staff will be creating support plans for student success throughout the year based off of our various academic data.
