LAID OFF MEDFORD WORKERS WILL GET HELP

The state announced assistance for 23 laid off workers in Medford.
Thursday, Governor Jim Doyle highlighted Trade Adjustment Assistance services will be available for 23 laid-off workers at Phillips Plastics Corporation.
The company was forced to scale back because auto industry customers are purchasing more interior components from foreign suppliers.
Funding will be available to help workers train for new jobs, income support, job searches and relocation.
