DNR Conservation Wardens have shut down a large poaching ring that spanned five different Wisconsin counties.
Trophy bucks were apparently illegally shined and shot during the night on private land in Sauk, Richland, Vernon, and Juneau Counties.
The investigation started two years ago, after people living in those counties complained of hearing gun fire at night.
13 men, some from Hillsboro and Wonewoc now face fines of up to $7,000 each.
