Owen-Withee School Board Discusses Employment Matters

-The Owen-Withee School Board discussed employment matters at their meeting on Monday.

The board approved the contract for Tammy Barth to teach K-12 vocal music. The board also unanimously approved the hiring of Josh Jalling as the head golf coach and unanimously approved the hiring of Jenniffer Slowiak as Jr. High Volleyball coach. The board also heard a reminder that the Fall Family Picnic will be held on September 12th from 4pm-6pm at the Mill Pond Park. All staff, admins and board members are invited and new staff members will be introduced.

The board also heard an update on the preliminary 2018-19 enrollment numbers. District Administrator Bob Houts distributed an unofficial accounting of the enrollment for the 2018-19 school year. The district has 487 students in the buildings. Thirty-eight students are open enrolled out to other schools while 44 students are open enrolled into the district from other schools.
