JANSSEN ON TO FINALS OF NATIONAL CONTEST

 He’s been here before, but this is hardly getting “old hat” for Jan Janssen of Marshfield.
Janssen, 29, has learned that he beat out two semi-final contestants in the ‘Ford Video Casting Call’, an on-line talent contest that Ford runs in association with Fox’s popular ‘American Idol’ TV show. That means he's on to the finals.
Janssen submitted a homemade video of the ‘Earth Wind and Fire’ song Shining Star. On-line voters must have liked what they saw.
Janssen made it to the final round last year, but he’s hopeful he can win the contest this year. If he does, he’ll get some nice prizes, including: a new Ford Focus, a trip to L.A. to see the American Idol finale and a walk-on role in a video with the final two contestants.
The second of three semifinals is being held now at www.fordvehicles.com/americanidol.
Voting for the final round will begin May 3rd.
