-The Owen-Withee School Board discussed negotiations with the Owen-Withee teacher’s group at their meeting on Monday.

The teachers have requested that the CPI increase of 2.13% for the 2018-19 school year be divided between the base wage and the supplement pay categories. This means the base wage will increase by 1.92% with the remainder going on the supplemental pay. The board concurred that how the increase is divided doesn’t matter to them as long as the total base wage increase of $42,617 is not surpassed. Talks will continue with the group with the plan of getting final board approval at the July meeting.

The board also unanimously approved renewing the district membership in the WIAA for the 2018-19 school year. As has been the practice the past few years, no dues or fees are required for membership. They also approved the Junior High’s membership to the WIAA with the same stipulations.
