MARSHFIELD CLINIC TO CLOSE THORP LOCATION

The Marshfield Clinic is closing its Thorp Center.
The two doctors are resigning and will not be replaced.
The clinic opened in the 1980s and has about 1,300 patients. It will close Dec. 12.
Officials say it’s becoming increasingly difficult to recruit doctors to rural areas.
