MEETING ON THE FUTURE OF GRANTON SCHOOLS
Monday, September 22nd, 2008 -- 8:28 am
Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director

A couple weeks after voting to merge all their sports programs with Loyal, the Granton school board will ask the public where they want the district to go from here.

One big question: should the district spend thousands of dollars to fix their aging swimming pool?

School officials estimate it costs the district around $50,000 to operate the pool every year. It might take another $50,000 to paint and repair it.

The board will discuss these issues at a meeting on Tuesday, September 23 at 8 p.m.
