CAUSE OF MARSHFIELD BLAZE FOUND

Investigators now know what caused a massive fire in downtown Marshfield on Friday. Officials say faulty wiring led to an arc that started the blaze in a second story apartment. Both the Highstreet Beauty Salon and Magic Moments Bridal and Formal are now considered total losses after the heating and air conditioning unit fell through the weakened floors to the basement. Damage is estimated to be more than $320,000.
