RESIDENTS WARNED OF PHONE SCAM

The Clark County Sheriff's Department is warning of a phone scam apparently targeting elderly area residents.
The Sheriff's Department has received complaints from at least two Neillsville area residents who say someone called them claiming to be a grandson.
The caller than requests they send him cash.
The calls have been traced back to New York State.
Sheriff Louis Rosandich says you shouldn't fall for this scam. Report it to your local law enforcement agency.
