-Neillsville City Council heard several reports at their meeting on Tuesday.

The council heard the Public Works Report from the Director of Public Works, Dave Flynn. The usual amount of work was done in the city including cemetery and parks maintenance, equipment maintenance, trimming and pruning trees, street sweeping, maintaining street lighting, filling pot holes, hauling brush and compost and more.

The department is also continuing to work on tree removal. The city received a grant to remove Ash trees in the city to help fight against the Emerald Ash Borer. So far, they have cut down 41 trees. The bucket truck had to be taken to V&H in Marshfield for repairs. Also, the department won’t start leaf pick up until the end of this month and they may only make one pass by your residence.
