The Democratic candidate for the 69th Assembly District seat has his work cut out for him in the fundraising department.
According to campaign finance statements, Rep. Scott Suder (R-Abbotsford) had nearly $37,000 in the coffers as of June 30th. Challenger Tim Swiggum (D-Owen) had only $812.
As an incumbent, Suder's campaign cash carries over. He started the reporting period with $30,000 and raised an additional $9,000. Swiggum raised just over $2,000.
Swiggum received no money from Political Action Committees, while Suder received $7,450 from PACs.
Suder has spent around $2,400 on the current campaign; Swiggum has spent around $1,600.
Suder and Swiggum will face off in November.
