Granton and Loyal could merge all of their high school sports programs in two years.

Meeting jointly last night, the two school boards discussed merging all of their junior high athletic programs next school year. While no official motion was approved, there was an understanding that was a good idea.

The boards also discussed merging other high school sports.
The districts already co-op high school football.

The two schools would have to alert the Cloverbelt Conference two years in advance of any such decision.

The boards agreed to meet again at the end of summer to make a decision.
