COPS TALK WITH BEGGERS IN DEATH OF MARSHFIELD STUDENT
Tuesday, April 15th, 2008 -- 11:56 am
Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director

Madison detectives investigating the murder of a university student want to talk to anyone who was soliciting money in the neighborhood when Brittany Zimmermann was killed, or anyone who gave someone money.

The 21-year-old Marshfield native was killed April 2 after her assailant broke into her first-floor apartment.

Police spokesman Joel DeSpain says many people who were solicited for money have already talked to detectives. DeSpain says they just want to make sure they've talked with everyone.

Lt. Joe Balles says more than 20 detectives are working on the case. He say investigators hope evidence being analyzed at the state crime will yield some clues.
