F.D. RETRIEVES MAN FROM WOODS

It was another busy day for the Neillsville Fire Department Wednesday.
Fire chief Matt Meyer says the crew was called out late Wednesday morning to help a man who twisted his knee in the woods.
It happened near Sand Road in the Town of Hewitt. The man was looking for shed antlers when he suffered the injury that prevented him from walking.
He used his cell phone to call 9-1-1.
Because of soggy conditions, the crew could not reach the man by ATV and had to carry him out about one-half mile.
