Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director

Authorities have increased the reward for information in the armed robbery of a Marshfield Walgreens.

The armed robbery took place on March 17 at the Central Avenue drugstore.

Police believe a white man in his 20s entered the Walgreens store and brandished a silver handgun. He demanded and received Oxycontin and Oxycodone. The suspect is estimated to be 6 feet tall and 170 pounds.

Local authorities are offering a reward of $1,000, and a program that tracks pharmacy thefts could supplement the reward.

Callers can remain anonymous and still be eligible for the reward.

Those with information should contact Detective Rick Gramza at 384-0813 or the Wood County Crime Stoppers tip line at (877) 325-7867.
