RAPIDS MAN ARRESTED FOR BURGLARIES, ARSONS

The Wood County Sheriff's Department is announcing the arrest of a Wisconsin Rapids man suspected in several church burglaries and multiple central Wisconsin arsons.
27-year-old David Hartman was arrested in Grand Forks North Dakota on several outstanding warrants.
Hartman failed to appear in court on charges he committed five residential burglaries in Wood County back in August.
As the investigation continued, evidence linked Hartman to several church burglaries and arsons in Wood and Portage counties, including one in which he allegedly set a church on fire to cover up the burglary.
Hartman is currently in Wood Co. custody.
