NEILLSVILLE CITY COUNCIL MEETS
Wednesday, November 28th, 2007 -- 11:31 am
Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director

The Neillsville City Council met Tuesday night… but it was a slow meeting.

In fact, the biggest news from the meeting was probably an update on the Town Square Clock, which is—you guessed it—running slow.

Director of Public Works Dave Flynn told the Council the clock has been struggling to maintain its time since a recent power outage. He's contacted the company, who thinks the motor may have gone bad.

The clock was installed in 2003.

The council did tweak city ordinances to put the Director of Public Works in charge of the cemetery sexton and parks director position, which is currently unfilled.

They also accepted and appropriated $17,000 in timber sales revenue to the street department and over $10,000 in Listeman Foundation donations to various projects.
