There's finally a light at the end of the tunnel in a Neillsville homicide case.

Last week, a judge set aside the week of June 9th for the jury trial of Daniel Peterson. He's pleaded not guilty by reason of mental disease in the stabbing death of his wife Vickie, whose body was found by relatives on the morning of January 1, 2004.

A motions hearing has been set for April 30 and the final pre-trial for May 22.

The jury trial is scheduled to take five days and will come over 4 ½ years after the alleged
