SUDER EASILY OUTPACES SWIGGUM IN FUNDRAISING BATTLE
Wednesday, September 20th, 2006 -- 1:07 pm Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director
If Owen Mayor Tim Swiggum defeats incumbent 69th District Assemblyman Scott Suder this November, he’ll have to do it very frugally. Candidates had to file their Pre-Fall-Primary campaign finance reports by September 5th, that information is now available to the public. It shows Suder with a huge ten-to-one fundraising advantage over the Democrat Swiggum. So far this election cycle, Suder has had over $46,000 to spend. As of September 5th, he spent around $20,560 leaving around $23,500 in his campaign coffers for the stretch run to the November 7th election. While Suder had about $46,000 at his disposal, Swiggum has had only $4,500. He’s spent around $2,000 leaving him roughly $2,600 to spend over the next month and a half.
