The Marshfield Municipal Airport is set to receive a $1.7-million facelift.
Governor Jim Doyle Wednesday approved projects, including a new terminal building.
The state is chipping in $710,000, the city of Marshfield is contributing $320,000 with the Federal Aviation Administration providing $625,406.
The work includes demolition of an existing airport structure, relocating a hangar, drainage, parking and access improvements, along with construction of a modern terminal building.
Construction of the new facility should be completed in the spring of 2007. The airport accommodates 26,000 take-offs and landings each year.
