A former Marathon County Snowmobile coordinator has been sentenced to five years probation - no prison time - after pleading no contest to charges he embezzled $20,000 of taxpayer money. Marathon County Judge Dorothy Bain yesterday also sentenced Marg to pay a $10,000 fine, and perform 600 hours of community service. He also has to pay back the money he stole from the county by writing false invoices. Assistant District Attorney LaMont Jacobsen said he was disappointed with the sentence. He thought Marg should spend some time behind bars.
