KIND ENTERS RACE FOR CONGRESS

It was a foregone conclusion, but Congressman Ron Kind announced his candidacy for re-election Wednesday at the La Crosse County Democratic headquarters.
The Third District congressman was first elected from the western Wisconsin district in 1996, and has been returned to Washington every two years since then. He has a primary opponent, and will likely face Republican Paul Nelson in the November election.
