MAN DROWNS IN BOATING ACCIDENT (?)

A night of 4th of July partying may have turned tragic near Wisconsin Rapids.
A 19-year-old man, believed to be from the Wisconsin Rapids area, is missing and feared drowned after his boat was found sunk at Ben Hanson Park.
Seven other people in the boat were rescued, or were able to swim to shore.
Police and volunteers stayed well past midnight, searching the waters and shorelines for any sign of him.
After getting the boat back on land they discovered holes near the motor, leading investigators to believe the driver, who was drinking, may have hit something.
Police are exploring the possibility the missing man, who’s had run-ins with police in the past, may have just fled the scene.
