Listening Session with Representative Bob Kulp, Part 2

-The newly elected Representative of the 69th District, Bob Kulp, held listening session throughout the area on Monday.

I attended Representative Kulp’s session at the Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry office and listened as he addressed the concerns of citizens and asked him a few questions.

There were many concerns brought up by those that attended regarding the Common Core State Standards. Representative Kulp said he has faith in the Education Committee that oversees the standards implementation.

"The Education Committee I have a good deal of confidence in. They will be very careful in keeping Wisconsin unique and giving schools and parents the greatest degree in choice possibly. It's a dicey proposition. As an assemblyman I have some degree of intersection with it, but I'm not tasked on focusing on that."

Representative Kulp is a business owner in Stratford and was elected to replace Scott Suder after his resignation.
