Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director

-The Neillsville City Council discussed the 2014-2015 Polling Place Officials and discussed bids on a vacant lot in the city.

The common council approved the polling place officials for the next 2 years. Both Democratic and Republican parties also approved those on the list. Everyone on the list has done it before and has all the proper training.

As for bids on the vacant lot at 108 W. Fifteenth Street, the city has not received any bids on the property yet. They city has invested close to $11,000 into the property and the land itself is only valued at $8,800.

However, it was mentioned that they probably wonít receive any bids on the property until the Spring as properties usually donít sell well in the Winter. Being on the market longer gives people any opportunity to think about purchasing the lot.
