-The Owen-Withee School Board took care of several items of old business at their meeting on Monday evening.

The Board re-examined the 2014-15 calendar and considered changes to an in-service day in October vs February. The Board unanimously approved the calendar as presented.

The Board unanimously approved a second reading of the 400 series of policies which deals with students and student behavior. One change the Board did make to the series is they removed Policy 441.2 which dealt with a Student Representative on the Board. The Board encouraged District Administrator Bob Houts, to develop other ways that students can express their ideas and concerns to the Board.

The Board had asked Mr. Houts to present the list of maintenance items that were not completed during the summer of 2013 due to budget constraints. The list includes sidewalk repairs, blacktop and pothole repairs and replacement of roof sections. Mr. Houts will bring the list back to the Board in January with cost estimates for some of the bigger ticket items.
