BRF MAN'S DEATH RULED ACCIDENTAL DROWNING

An autopsy has determined a 52-year-old Black River Falls man found floating in the Black River on Friday morning drowned accidentally.

Mario Genna had been missing for a week when searchers found his body floating on the river north of Black River Falls.

Today, Jackson County Sheriff’s Department officials announced a pathologist with the University Hospital in Madison determined Genna drowned. No other indicators of death were reported.

The death investigation is closed.
